On Wednesday, January 10th, all 8th grade students received their School Choice Form and information sheets outlining important details about the form and school choice process. We would like to call your attention to one important detail. This year, Boston Public Schools (BPS) will be offering families two ways to submit your student’s choices for the next school year (2018 – 2019):

  • 1)You may record your student’s school choices on the School Choice Form and return it to your student’s homeroom teacher by no later than February 9, 2018.
  • 2)You may also submit your student’s choices through the online continuous choice form in DiscoverBPS. The link to access the online choice form will be sent to the email address that Boston Public Schools has on file for you. Please note that if BPS does not have an email address on file for you, then you will not have access to the online choice form. The online choice form is also due no later than February 9, 2018.

ESL Classes for Families: We will be offering ESL classes for parents at the Curley School. All levels are welcome and we will focus on learning English for practical purposes (for example, applying for jobs or helping your child with schoolwork) as well as basic grammar. There will be many opportunities to practice speaking. If you are interested, please call the Curley main office and speak to Madeline (617) 635-8176 to give her your information. Please say whether you prefer a morning or evening class.

Coat Drive: A very BIG thank you to all the families who have donated winter coats and accessories to our coat drive. The boxes for donations can still be found in both lobbies. We now only have a need for sizes 7 and larger. We are most in need of large coats, gloves, and boots. Thank you for caring so much about our Curley community! If anyone in your family is still in need, please let your child’s teacher know or contact the school.
